Getting started
How are ittírdalá.hu, GoodID Sign and GoodID related?
GoodID Sign is the new name for ittírdalá.hu. Start your signing request on the portal and use the GoodID digital wallet on your phone to verify your identity and sign.
What do I need for my first signature?
Have your phone, identity document and final PDF ready. Registration guides you through installing GoodID and verifying your identity, including taking a selfie.
Use the GoodID app to verify your identity and approve signatures. Registration directs you to the store for your phone. You can also download the app in advance.
Which files can I upload?
Prepare a PDF for signing. In Word, choose PDF under Save As or Export. Review the page breaks and attachments before uploading.
How large can my upload be?
In a simple workflow, each PDF can be up to 10 MB. An advanced workflow accepts a ZIP package of up to 100 MB.
What if I haven’t received the identity verification email?
Check your spam or junk folder and the Promotions tab. If you still can’t find the confirmation, contact support.

How do I sign my own document?
Upload your PDF, select the option to sign it yourself, and review it on your phone. After confirming, download the signed electronic copy.
How do I ask someone else to sign?
Enter the signer’s name and email address. They receive an email with a signing link, and you receive a notification once they have signed.
Who signs first, and how can I sign last?
A simple workflow follows the invitation order. To sign first, sign before inviting the others. To sign last, add yourself as the last signer in the list.
When should I choose an advanced workflow?
Choose an advanced workflow on BUSINESS if people need to sign in parallel or if each recipient needs to sign a separate copy of the same form.
How long is my uploaded document available?
Retention depends on the plan and lasts up to 60 days from the start of the workflow. Save the signed PDF to your own storage. If the workflow expires before everyone signs, upload the document again.
Signature types and verification
What is the difference between AES and QES?
An advanced electronic signature (AES) is linked to the signer and makes later changes detectable. A qualified electronic signature (QES) uses a qualified certificate and a qualified signature creation device. In the EU it has the same legal effect as a handwritten signature.
When signing as an individual, choose AES or QES according to the requirements of the transaction. For QES, sign directly in GoodID or use DÁP for personal matters. If you use DÁP, share the signed PDF back to GoodID to continue.
Who provides the trust service?
ID&Trust provides AES in GoodID Sign. Evrotrust is GoodID’s partner for the integrated qualified signature service. You can inspect the certificate in the signed PDF.
The provider verifies the signer’s identity, linking the signature to a specific person. A timestamp confirms when the document was signed. Validating the PDF signature shows whether the signed content has changed.
Which signature should I use for a contract?
Check the formal requirements for the transaction and what the recipient requests. The certificate type, timestamp, authority to represent a company and any required countersignature are distinct considerations.
What if the recipient is abroad?
The EU’s eIDAS rules provide a common framework for electronic signatures. Check the formal requirements of the transaction as well. For a recipient outside the EU, confirm which signature type they accept before signing.
A QES based on a qualified certificate issued in one EU Member State is recognised as a qualified signature in the others. The transaction itself may still require additional formalities, such as a countersignature or a notary.
How can I verify a signed PDF?
Open the original electronic file in a viewer such as Adobe Acrobat Reader. Select a signer in the signatures panel to review validity, certificate information and any changes reported for the document.
What is the QR seal and where can I place it?
The seal displays signer and time information. Scan the QR code for further details. When signing, you can position the seal on the page, for example on a designated signature line.
Phones, identity documents and security
What should I do if I lose my phone?
On GoodID’s revocation page, enter the email address you previously verified in the app. Follow the emailed instructions to suspend or revoke access on the lost device.
Revoke device accessHow do I move to a new phone?
Back up GoodID on your old phone before switching. Install the app on your new phone and restore the backup. Your portal account remains available, although some services may ask you to verify your identity again.
Can I sign on behalf of a company?
If you are authorised to represent the company, choose company signing. The document should identify the company and the capacity in which you act. DÁP’s personal signature cannot be used to represent a company.
When representing a company, you can use an advanced electronic signature (AES) or the qualified electronic signature (QES) integrated into GoodID, depending on the requirements of the transaction.
How do I sign using DÁP?
When acting in a personal capacity, open the PDF in DÁP. After signing, share the signed file back to GoodID to continue the workflow.
DÁP signing guideCan I get a new signing certificate for my Hungarian eID?
New signing certificates for Hungarian eID cards have not been issued since 1 September 2024. If your certificate has expired, choose another signing method. The issuer provides details about the closure of the service.
Information from the issuerWhat protects signing on my phone?
Your wallet is protected by a PIN. Approving a signature requires your authentication device. If someone else may have gained access to your phone, suspend the device’s access.
What should I try if the GoodID app isn’t working on my phone?
If you’re using Wi-Fi, switch to mobile data and try again. A firewall on a workplace or other private Wi-Fi network may be blocking the app’s connection.
Plans, credits and billing
Who pays when I invite someone to sign?
Invited signers sign for free without a subscription of their own. The initiator’s plan covers the workflow.
How many signers can I invite to one workflow?
GO allows one invited signer per workflow, SMART allows three, and BUSINESS allows unlimited invited signers.
How many credits does a signature use?
An advanced electronic signature uses 150 credits and a qualified electronic signature uses 900. Signing on behalf of a company adds 150 credits. For example, a qualified company signature uses 1,050 credits.
Buy credits through a subscription or a one-off top-up. The pricing page lists the fees excluding VAT and the credit allowance for each plan.
How do I order a plan and get an invoice?
On the pricing page, select a plan and an annual or monthly contract, then sign in or register. For a company invoice, provide the business billing details. Request a custom quote for BUSINESS.
